World of Warcraft recently revealed the Collector’s Edition for The War Within, which includes a new art book, a pin, and a gorgeous gryphon rider statue. With its release coinciding with the 20-year anniversary of World of Warcraft, this physical premium edition would make an excellent addition to any fan’s collection.
Since it first came out, WoW and each of its expansions have had a physical Collector’s Edition. Pre-purchases for The War Within opened up simultaneously with the World of Warcraft expansion’s announcement at BlizzCon in November 2023, meaning players have been waiting for the reveal of the collector’s box for almost half a year.
Now, the wait is finally over. World of Warcraft recently debuted the contents of The War Within Collector’s Edition alongside the commencement of its alpha testing phase. In addition to everything included in The War Within Epic Edition, players who purchase this limited-edition box will receive The Art of The War Within artbook, a collectible pin featuring Alleria, Anduin, and Thrall, and a golden gryphon rider statue. Fans can get the World of Warcraft: The War Within Collector’s Edition from the Blizzard Gear store for $180.
Fans who are interested in this new Collector’s Edition, but who have already pre-purchased World of Warcraft: The War Within, can still secure these three physical items without too much trouble. If players already have a digital code for The War Within, they will receive a Battle.net balance reimbursement for the total of their previous pre-purchase. Considering The War Within Epic Edition costs $90 on its own, the art book, collector's pin, and statue technically only cost an additional $90.
The Epic Edition of The War Within contains a plethora of digital goodies as well. Fans who purchase it alone, or as a part of this new Collector’s Edition, get a level 70 Character Boost, 1000 Trader’s Tender, an Algarian Stormrider mount and matching transmog set, a pet, a toy, and a cosmetic hearthstone,
