Since Diablo 4 launched in June, a common piece of community feedback has been that World Bosses don't spawn frequently enough. Players have jobs and other responsibilities, and with no in-game schedule, it could be difficult to encounter these loot-filled behemoths.
Blizzard is looking to fix this issue when Diablo 4 Season 2 goes live, by increasing the World Boss spawn rate.
5 Endgame Bosses Coming in Season 2 Diablo 4 Content Progression Revamp
In Season of Blood, a World Boss will spawn once every 3.5 hours. The World Boss icon will show up on the map an hour before spawn time, which will give players plenty of time to prepare.
Additionally, a new message will appear, that will broadcast to all players 15 minutes prior to the World Boss spawning.
Similar changes will be coming to Legion Events in Season 2. Legion Events will now occur every 25 minutes, instead of every half hour.
The warning timer has also been increased, to give players more time to traverse to the Legion Event. Finally, issues have been fixed that previously prevented World Boss and Legion Event icons from properly displaying on the minimap.
World Bosses and Legion Events will be especially important during Season of Blood because players will need to participate in these activities in order to earn Exquisite Blood, which will allow them to summon the Seasonal Endgame Boss — Lord Zir.
