Ubisoft announced new options for those who want to subscribe to Ubisoft+. Ubisoft's overhaul of the service comes alongsidePrince of Persia: The Lost Crown's early-access release on Ubisoft+.
Similar to Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, Ubisoft+ offers subscribers a library of games in exchange for a monthly payment. In an effort to build its subscriber base, Ubisoft+ has featured day-one releases of major games likeAssassin's Creed Mirage. However, users have their fair share of complaints regarding the service, such as its high price and lack of variety compared to other services like Game Pass. In response to this, it seems that Ubisoft has some major plans to help improve its subscription service.
Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft+ will offer two new tiers. The first is the Ubisoft+ Premium tier, which combines the previous Ubisoft+ Multi-Acess and PC Access plans. Ubisoft+ Premium will cost users $17.99 a month and will give them day-one releases, select early-access titles, monthly rewards, Ubisoft's back catalog of games, and more. Subscribers will have access to these benefits across PC, Xbox, and Amazon Luna. The second new tier is Ubisoft+ Classics, which will allow PC users to play popular Ubisoft titles like Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry 6, and more for $7.99 a month. More games will be added to this tier as time goes on, and this plan is included for those who subscribe to PlayStation+ Extra or PlayStation+ Premium. Those who were previously subscribed to Ubisoft+ PC Access can keep their plan at the old price point.
Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the first game to be released as an early-access title on the newly named Ubisoft+ Premium tier. Otherwise, fans would have to buy the game's Deluxe Edition to play it before January 18th, but those who pay $17.99 for a month of Ubisoft+ Premium can play it early at no extra cost. It's not yet clear what future Ubisoft games will be included as day-one or early-access releases on Ubisoft+ Premium, but
