Sonic The Hedgehog 3: Krysten Ritter's Role Possibly Revealed By New Rumor
The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 cast is set to include Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter, but a recent insider rumor conflicts with previous speculation and suggests she may not play an animated character after all.
Heralded as one of the better video game movie adaptations, Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog film franchise found major success at the box office. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 persevered during the actors' strike and comes highly anticipated, especially after a recent casting announcement. Returning cast members Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, and Idris Elba will be joined by Ritter, Alyla Browne, James Wolk and Sofia Pernas, Cristo Fernández, and Jorma Taccone.
Although Ritter's Sonic the Hedgehog 3 role remains unverified, a new rumor from insider Daniel Richtman claims she will portray a human character named Captain Rockwell. Not much is known about the role, but several fans have suggested Rockwell will be a GUN (Guardian Units of Nations) operative, potentially leading an international military defense team. However, Richtman's rumor also conflicts with previous speculation from IGN that Ritter would voice the animated fan-favorite jewel thief Rouge the Bat rather than a live-action character and was met with mixed responses from fans.
