One of the Internet’s best non-traditional controller players is back at it—and he’s stepped up. Literally. A YouTuber, TikToker and overall Internet-popular controller enthusiast Rudeism has started one of his more ambitious feats yet: a Hardcore World of Warcraft Classic run on DDR pads.
This isn’t even his first time with this type of feat, in fact—at least, the DDR part. Back in 2016, Rudeism tackled the then-current edition World of Warcraft with the dance pads and went from 1 to 100, culminating in April of that year, almost eight years ago to the month. Since then, he’s continued his non-traditional controller antics, like Rocket League on a guitar controller, Elden Ring with a frying pan, and Hades with a pomegranate, all on his YouTube.
This challenge, he’s upped the ante and will be dancing around much higher requirements. This DDR run will be not just on the Hardcore servers, which have adjusted world and dungeon traits and permadeath for all characters, but also the brand new “Self Found” mode. Basically, this disables any sort of player trading while on the Hardcore track, meaning no direct trading, buying, nor selling, creating an entirely isolated iron man run. It’s essentially a nerf on getting sufficient items as the levels go up, forcing players to grind out those items.
In short? If his character dies, he needs to boogie back to the start.
So far, he’s had two streams as he steps up to this quest. Unfortunately, he’s already taken at least one death as of a few days ago, during his first stream. However, with time, we think he’ll make do; on his last stream before publication, he started the track to learn how to cook.
Between streams, you can always watch his old videos where he, say, uses a real tractor to play Tractor Simulator. That’s just the author’s personal curated choice, though, because he’s also got Elden Ring as a classic typing RPG and, very recently, Tekken 8 with a baguette.
