PS5 Update 9.00 is being rolled out as we speak, adding DualSense controller sound enhancements, Share Screen interactions, and more.
Sony released the new system software update in beta last month. Among other things, this update improved DualSense controller audio via noise cancelation for the microphone and speaker. In addition, the update allowed users to adjust the brightness of the console's power indicator through a new setting. Fast forward a little over a month, and this new firmware version has now been rolled out for all PlayStation 5 users.
According not mentioned in Sony's official blog post on the PS Blog, this new system update also, once again, improves stability and system performance. The PlayStation 5 is available worldwide now. Sony launched its current-gen console back in November 2020. As covered recently, Sony managed to sell over 54.8 million units of the console since its launch.
