A Genshin Impact leak has hinted at a new Abyss type end-game content that could arrive in one of the upcoming updates. Despite being released almost four years ago, the game has managed to keep a large player base thanks to constant updates that always introduce tons of new content.
Many Travelers consider the Spiral Abyss domain the only challenging part of Genshin Impact after they max out their characters' levels. This end-game domain features 12 different levels, also known as floors, each of which contains multiple chambers. These chambers have multiple enemy waves that players need to beat within a certain time frame in order to collect various rewards, including precious Primogems that can be used to pull for characters and weapons.
While the game keeps introducing new limited events that stay for a couple of weeks, one of the main issues Genshin Impact players have been complaining about since release is the lack of permanent end-game content. Luckily, a recent leak has revealed that HoYoverse could soon be adding a new feature that will allow players to test their skills and hard-earned characters. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit suggests that a «new type of Abyss» will be added in Version 4.7. The leak also mentioned that players' opinions could be divided, claiming that some will hate it while others will like it.
Many players praise HoYoverse's decision to increase the number of challenging domains, since most overworld bosses become overly simple once players achieve maximum levels with their characters. There is no additional information about how the new domain might work, but it could have a similar floor system to the current Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact.
