Although recent reports have suggested that the PS5 is in its latter stages of life, there are still updates being added to the console, and an upcoming upgrade will be a great addition for gamers who need assistance or hints about certain parts of a game.
Community Game Help is a user-generated content update that will be coming to the PS5 soon. With player satisfaction being a major goal for Sony, adding this feature to the PS5 is a new way for players who are in need of assistance to get help straight from the community.
PS5 owners will be able to share their own gameplay footage and hints in order to help other players, while developers can highlight their own tips as well. Players will be given the option to opt in or out of Community Game Help, and it's available to users with or without a PlayStation Plus subscription. In order to upload to Community Game Help, players will record a specific section of a game they wish to assist with, and if approved by a moderator, it will be uploaded to Community Game Help where it can be rated by fellow players.
When pressing the PS button to reveal the PS5's Control Center, there is currently a «Hints Inside» icon. This will eventually be updated to include hints labeled as «Community Game Help.»
Although there hasn't been any official release date confirmed for this update yet, Sony has promised that the feature will start to become available in select games sometime later this year.
