For anyone who prefers a more up close and personal option, The Immortal is another sought-after weapon that is considered to have a god roll if it includes Target Lock in its perks. That submachine gun requires working your way through the Trials of Osiris ranks, and isn't as easily obtainable as Braytech Werewolf. If you don't have the funky auto rifle, you'll probably need to wait until Festival of the Lost in October to get your hands on it.

Destiny 2's mid-season update will see some interesting buffs applied to auto rifles and several other weapon archetypes. In PvE, auto rifles will do 25% more damage against red and orange-bar enemies, and you can expect damage buffs for pulse rifles, hand
