iPhone 15 Pro Renders Get A New Image Gallery, Massive Rear Camera System, Uneven Bottom-Firing Speakers, Thinner Bezels And More Revealed
We got a first look at the iPhone 15 Pro thanks to a previous design leak, and now, more details have popped up in the latest image gallery. Though much of the external chassis remains unchanged compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, there are some tidbits that reveal some impressive upgrades in tow.
The new iPhone 15 Pro renders made thanks to the tag team of Ian Zelbo and 9to5Mac show that Apple is expected to switch to titanium this year, with the entire device sporting rounded corners to make it easier to hold. In terms of materials used, both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will sport the biggest upgrade to date, with the renders showing a massive rear camera at the back. The bezels also look razor-thin, and according to one rumor, both of the premium models will have the thinnest bezels on a smartphone ever.
The rear camera bump change reveals that Apple could employ a new primary sensor at the back, allowing more light to enter and create a more detailed image. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is reported to take imaging two steps further, as the larger flagship is said to be the only model out of the four launching later this year to feature a periscope zoom lens. It is unclear if both the ‘Pro’ models will have the same camera bump, but 9to5Mac implies that the smaller version will have a bigger protrusion for some reason.
The render showing a USB-C port at the bottom also reveals that the speaker grills on the left and right will have uneven cutouts, which may go against Apple’s design philosophy, but the decision was likely made due to space constraints.
