The most recent iteration of speedrunning showcase Summer Games Done Quick has raised $2.2 million.
That's according to the organisation's website, which reports that – at the time of writing –$2,246,216.67 has been donated from 32,020 people. The most a single person has donated is $155,000.
Summer Games Done Quick 2023 was raising money for Doctors Without Borders once again.
The $2.2 million raised this year is a 26.7 per cent decrease on the $3 million made from the 2022 iteration of Summer Games Done Quick, perhaps reflecting the economic downturn and people having less in the way of disposable income.
In total, Games Done Quick events have raised $46,240,273.28 for charity.
Games Done Quick founder Mike Uyama left the organisation in January after 13 years at the organisation.
