Thanks to its size, the Big Tree is pretty obvious. To find this arboreal addition to the Cindersap Forest,head south from your farm and look west between Marnie's farm and the Wizard Tower. A gap in the fence allows you to walk up and interact with the Big Tree.
There's nothing you can do with the Big Tree immediately; maybe you can smoke some fish and make money while you wait. Eventually, after your farmer goes to sleep, you will hear a lot of wind. Once this night passes, go to check on the Tree in the morning.

The hardwood will be used to build a home for your new neighbors, the Raccoon vendor, and his family. After they're settled in, the Raccoon will start giving you bundles to complete. Like the Community Center bundles, these bundles require you to farm, forage, and craft the needed items and return them to the Raccoon. Once you've done them all, a shop will open.
