After premiering at this year’s Tribeca Festival, the documentary Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds has found a home at Disney+.
The documentary will debut exclusively on Disney+ in the Spring of 2024.
A journey into the creative mind of the most iconic video game designer in the world. Featuring appearances from visionary artists, this visually captivating documentary gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio after leaving Konami, where he’d shot to fame as the head honcho behind the Metal Gear Solid series.
The journey takes in the creation of the game Death Stranding, which many of the documentary’s cast played a part in in some way or another. It’s due to be turned into a movie itself in the future.
Directed and photographed by Glen Milner Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds features a star-studded cast from movies, music, and games that include George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road), Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), Grimes, Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Woodkid, Churches, Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil), Léa Seydoux (Inglorious Basterds) and Shinya Tsukamoto.
Kojima appeared at The Game Awards yesterday alongside Nope and Get Out director Jordan Peele as they unveiled the new game OD which stars Sophia Lillis (IT), Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier
