STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been delayed again and will now be released around two months later than expected.
The second entry in the series by GSC Game World will now release on November 20th instead of September 5th to give the developers breathing room to address some technical issues with the game and deliver the experience players have eagerly been waiting for. Thankfully, it's not all bad news today. The most comprehensive look at STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be coming during a Developer Deep Dive in collaboration with Xbox on August 12th. The Deep Dive will feature interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the development process, as well as new footage, including a world overview, various locations, gameplay, and cutscenes. Lastly, the Deep Dive will also feature a full video walkthrough of one of the story quests.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl feels modernized in ways that AAA games have developed over the years. A minimap has been replaced with a compass permanently affixed to the top of the screen, pointing to nearby points of interest and quest markers. Enemies are also marked with red dots when alive and gray X’s once they fall, giving the player a visual reminder of where to find their backpacks and that sweet low-level loot within. The firing mode indicator located beneath your ammo count indicates whether the weapon is toggled to semi-auto or fully automatic fire. Most of the information that needs to be conveyed to the player is presented in unobtrusive HUD elements shrunk down to the edges of the screen, giving more screen real estate for players to admire the corrupted
