Xbox Game Pass quietly confirmed another major franchise will release its next installment as a Day-One launch on the subscription service. After a tumultuous 2024, Microsoft is in the process of winning back fans after angering a large portion of its followers by announcing a massive price hike for Xbox Game Pass in July, a move many suspect was done to prepare for an influx of players looking to access. While that may be the case, those who retain their subscription will soon be able to play another fantastic shooter.
On Xbox's YouTube, the company confirmed that Rebellion's will launch in 2025 as a Day-One drop on Xbox Game Pass.
While it may not be as popular as, the series has garnered an admirable following thanks to its tight stealth mechanics, gratifying gunplay, and explosive kills that make ample use of a gory X-ray camera. Aside from Xbox Game Pass, will also be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Sticking to the franchise's World War II roots, puts players in the boots of Harry Hawker, a Special Operations Executive agent tasked with tracking down and destroying deadly German weapons known only as Wunderwaffe. Operating on foreign soil, Harry will need to link up with the French Resistance to achieve his goal, which will require a deft hand, wit, and plenty of slow-motion headshots. The premise sounds similar to the underrated open-world classic but with a greater emphasis on stealth and sniping.
While the gameplay will no doubt look similar to older games, Rebellion is adding some new features to make feel fresh. The biggest is Propaganda Missions, a new type of quest that follows a French Resistance fighter as they complete a series of timed objectives and ultimately claim victory under challenging conditions.
