While some may prefer a more ranged approach, others enjoy getting up close and personal with melee weapons or a mixture of both. Luckily for fans, there’s no shortage of weapon types in. In fact, there are six weapon types, including spears.
Spears are some of the most commonly found weapons in and are what many players choose to start out using. Even as they progress, many players prefer the versatility of spears, which allows them to throw spears in a ranged attack or engage in a melee battle. Even when compared to swords, spears tend to be longer and give players some distance when fighting. With so many spears to choose from, which are the best for early and late-game players?
The Soldier’s Spear is a common spear found throughout Hyrule in While it’s not the best weapon or even the best spear out there, for early players, it can pack a quick punch. Because it’s decayed, it doesn’t have the best attack power. However, it’s light enough to allow for a quick, charged attack against enemies.
With its low base power of 4, I wouldn’t recommend tackling high-level enemies with this spear. Still, starting out in Hyrule, I enjoyed using this spear against enemies like Bokoblin’s because it allowed me to quickly take them out with quick succession attacks. However, if you’re looking for more strength in your Soldier’s Spear, you can find a non-decayed version in the Depths. Non-decayed Soldier’s Spears comes with a base power of 10.
