After just being announced in June, will soon hit PC, dropping on August 12 on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $59.99. Today, a new trailer laid out the features that keyboard warriors will enjoy while exploring developer Insomniac Games’ meticulously crafted open world. From an unlocked framerate to ultrawide monitor support and improved shadows, Peter Parker’s Big Apple seems like it will look better than ever before.
Some of these visual improvements come from the list of new and improved technical features. The game will have improved ray-traced reflections over the ones found in the PlayStation 5 remaster and DLSS and DLAA support, which can boost performance and image quality, respectively. These come alongside the usual array of tweakable graphics options like texture filtering and shadow quality and standard PC features like achievements and cloud saves on both major digital storefronts.
And, as mentioned, it will support a variety of ultrawide displays including 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 aspect ratios, as well as multi-monitor setups. Insomniac said it wanted to add these kinds of higher-end features while also making sure it runs on all sorts of rigs, which is likely somewhat more feasible since it originally came out on a console that released in 2013.
Even though there will be mouse and keyboard support and customizable controls through Steam Input, users can also plug in a DualSense and experience the pad’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. These features were also in the PS5 remaster and will also likely be comparable to what was found in that version.
