A stunning new mod has recreated the world of Marvel's Spider-Man in Minecraft. Insomniac's 2018 Spider-Man title is often looked upon as one of the best games featuring the web-head and was highly praised for its fluid traversal gameplay which saw Spider-Man swinging through an open-world Manhattan with webs attaching and interacting with the environment.
Since Minecraft first became available to the public in 2009 with its Java Edition, fans have used the game's sandbox mode to create numerous levels, models, and sculptures and have eagerly shared their creations with fellow players. Over the years, fans have seen creations based on completely original concepts or existing IPs such as Game of Thrones' King's Landing or Five Nights At Freddy's Princess Quest minigames and have then added further mods to the title to change gameplay to suit the worlds.

The latest example of this is a recreation of Marvel's Spider-Man, which was shared on Reddit by Ikonik2K. Ikonik2K's clip utilized the Fisk's Superheroes mod available on CurseForge, which introduced a cast of DC and Marvel superheroes, each equipped with their unique powers, to Minecraft. In this clip, Peter Parker's Spider-Man can be seen swinging around the_balazs' expansive Metropolis map, using physics akin more to 2004's Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in to do some additional tricks such as a 360° "loop-de-loop" around a horizontal part of a building that wasn't featured in Insomniac's title.
The clip has been praised by fans on the Reddit thread, who have expressed their desire to see more of these physics-based web-swinging mechanics implemented into Insomniac's upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2
