Spider-Man’s adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are not over yet, and his fourth solo movie could explain No Way Home’s Loki plot hole after the multiverse chaos he and Doctor Strange unleashed. After a long wait, Spider-Man finally joined the MCU thanks to a deal between Marvel and Sony, and so the web-slinger made his debut in this connected universe in Captain America: Civil War before starring in his first solo movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Spider-Man continued his adventures in the MCU in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and closed the Infinity Saga with Spider-Man: Far From Home, which also brought a major twist when Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spider-Man’s identity to the world. This led Peter Parker to ask Doctor Strange for help in Spider-Man: No Way Home to cast a spell that would make the world forget he’s Spider-Man, but the spell was botched and opened the gates to the multiverse, allowing villains from past Spider-Man movies, as well as other Peter Parkers, to cross into the MCU. The only solution was for Doctor Strange to cast a spell that would make the world forget about Peter Parker, and so by the end of No Way Home, Peter was completely alone and starting a new life all by himself – but that won’t be the end of his problems.

The MCU’s Phase 4 is introducing new events and concepts, and the main one so far is the multiverse and its many dangers, and the TV series Loki introduced a very important organization linked to it: the Time Variance Authority (TVA), located outside of space and time and tasked with preserving the Sacred Timeline and preventing the creation of branching timelines – and Spider-Man’s actions
