Obtaining a Shovel in isn't exactly a pleasant experience, just a necessary one. Players will need to fight, or run, through a deep cave filled with enemies to locate the Shovel. However, both a Rebreather and a Rope Gun are required before players can set out to find the Shovel.

Having the Shovel is an integral part of beating because several key items to needed to continue the story are buried. Progression will be stalled until finding the Shovel, but players need to be properly prepared to survive the various challenges the cave presents. Along with the Rebreather and Rope Gun, both a flashlight and plenty of medicine are recommended.

The cave containing the Shovel has three bodies positioned in the water at the cave's entrance along with several scattered items on the rocks surrounding the cave opening. Once inside, break the wooden blockade and continue a short distance through the cave until finding a zipline post on the left side of the cave tunnel. Using the Rope Gun will bring players past the stalagmites below and onto flat ground. After keeping to the left, equip a Rebreather, enter the water, and swim downward to an opening located under a rock to reach dry land again.

There will be several enemies in the cavern, but it isn't necessary to engage in combat as players can run past them. Moving past them and sliding down a long tunnel, a small patch of sunlight signals players to move in that direction.

Players will find several items, including some of essential items, as well as the path to continue further into the cave. The next large cavern has lots of loot and lots of enemies. Taking damage is likely even when sprinting past them all.
