Something for the Weekend Before Christmas – 23/12/23
thesixthaxis.comIt’s only a couple of days away from the big day, and if you’re like me you’ll be frantically buying last minute presents and attempting to master the art of wrapping. Or, are you one of the more organised ones that means you’re able to put your feet up this weekend and get some gaming in?
Sadly the tail end of the week was marred by company and game shut downs, which is the suckiest time of year for this to happen.
This week saw us kick off our Game of the Year awards, and we’ve already covered a bunch of categories:
And we also got our Most Wanted Games of 2024 feature underway, counting down from the top 50:
We rounded off the reviews this year with a strong showing, with both reviews being awarded almost top marks!
From the previews, Aran took the helm for a look a Skull & Bones, the long-awaited spin off to Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, which it turns out might need a little more work, even after it’s lengthy development journey.
Rounding out the week, What We Played featured Resident Evil 4 VR, Avatar & Tekken 8.
