We’re officially in the spookiest month of the year, so it absolutely tracks that we’ve already had a pair of fan favourite horror game remakes released. Of course, I think people were much more excited about Silent Hill 2’s remake and what Bloober Team would do, than the more… constrained remake of Until Dawn, but both games have their diehard fans. Which are you picking up?
We’re still working on both our Until Dawn and Silent Hill 2 reviews, but here’s what else we pinned a score on this week:
And there was a new pro controller on the test bench:
We had a richer vein of other features, starting with Ade revisiting Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for the Mask of Darkness DLC, which he deems to be “near essential”.
Aran previewed the memory dungeon crawling of Pairs & Perils, as well as the turn-based JRPG homage of On A Journey, while Dom delved into Windblown from the makers of Dead Cells. Steve reckons Becrowned is as close as you can get to classic Silent Hill, and in a total change of pace from horror, I had a gander at the new Pro Rules in Super Mario Party Jamboree.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Windblown, Parcel Corps & Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
15 minute Hell is Us gameplay video explains lack of maps and quest markers
GT7 update 1.52 has a bunch of new cars and game tweaks
Windblown heads into Early Access later this month
That’s the round up for this week. Hope you have a great weekend ahead, whether you’re filling it with horror games or not!
