A lot of fans can attribute the influential franchises that the company has produced that came about because of him, and how his career impacted the gaming industry as a whole.
While the creator has been responsible for a lot of successful IPs and projects, recent years have seen him take a more supervisory position as a Creative Fellow within the company. His latest projects have him overseeing the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie, along with the opening of Super Nintendo World's Hollywood location. With such an impactful career, some may wonder what will happen when the legendary creator eventually decides to retire and leave Nintendo, to which Miyamoto was happy to elaborate in an interview.
Super Nintendo World Officially Confirms Another Location
This answer was provided by NPR (National Public Radio), between its host, A Martinez, and Miyamoto via an interpreter. Martinez asked that Nintendo will eventually exist without Miyamoto, along with what the company would be like afterward. Miyamoto stated that his departure won't change much of what happens at Nintendo, with things likely staying the same. He states that the company already has a number of people on the executive side, along with creators within that want to create new things, and that there's a «shared sense» of what it means to be Nintendo.
