Developer Player First Games has announced MultiVersus will be going offline until 2024, and some players are less than thrilled with the news. Players will lose access to MultiVersus' online component, which has been in open beta for the past eight months.
The end of the open beta period is scheduled for 25th June 2023, and game director Tony Huynh states (thanks, NME) that «as part of this process, we’ll be pausing updates and taking the game offline as we prepare for the launch of MultiVersus, which we are targeting for early 2024.»
The good news is you will still have some limited offline access to the training room, as well as local matches, but the bad is that all online modes and features will be entirely unavailable for six months, at least. Some fans, especially the dedicated ones willing to spend money in-game or on expensive Founder's Packs, were less than pleased.
For a beta, MultiVersus experienced a long life, made a bunch of money, and even won Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards last year, which is somewhat unusual. What do you think of this whole situation? Air any potential grievances in the comments section below.

I mean it's a beta lol, maybe a small percentile of people will finally learn sth. Do wonder if this ends up working for
