Blue Protocol wrapped itsJapanese network test this week, and the team has released the game’s opening video, featuring a new theme song from legendary group L'Arc en Ciel.
The previously delayed network test took place starting on March 31st, letting players experience some of what the rest of us can expect from Blue Protocol when it’s released later this year. The folks over at Blue Protocol Database also shared a notice from the development director Fukuzaki, which was from a Q&A with selected players and originally captured from the in-game chat.
According to Fukuzaki, “We had a goal for the release, it’ll depend on the results of this time how much we’ll actually do.I think we're trying to hurry as much as possible though.” He also highlights features that he thinks need improvement, namely the Adventure Board, drop rates, and gathering. One of the bugs in the testbuild also came to light, when he says that “Battle Score not being affected by Item Level sync is a wrong setting, or rather a wrong formula”,and it will be fixed for release.
When it comes to development progress, after a long period of little to no word on the game, Blue Protocol is on the way. They still have things they want to add, but will be prioritizing. Things that are a must for the final build will be where they direct their attention, and things that can be fixed or added later will take a backseat until they can release updates.
The team thanked all the testers today with a promise of more soon, and the release of Blue Protocol ’s opening video. With a clear anime-influenced style to the game, getting L’Arc en Ciel, a band around since 1991 and performer of multiplememorable anime openers, is a solid choice for the theme, Mirai.
