Good Bye Mind SearAfter 15 years, Mind Sear has been removed as a spell. Now most of Shadow Priest AoE revolves around using single target spells and cleaving with Psychic Link.
Shadow Priest Rework in Patch 10.1Shadow Priest Received a substantial rework to its talent tree in 10.1. The biggest change was the removal of Mind Sear as Shadow's AoE Insanity spender in favour of additional focus on the talent Psychic Link. Mind Spike also now replaces Mind Flay when taken, reducing the number of filler spells Shadow has and greatly simplifying its Single Target rotation. Many talents that saw little play or had very low gameplay impact, such as Whispers of the Damned and Coalescing Shadows have also been removed, with new options such as Voidtouched and Mind's Eye taking their place.
