Seekers of Skyveil is a PvPvE Extraction RPG and the First Alpha Test Begins Next Week

Seekers of Skyveil is an upcoming game from new studio Elodie Games. A PvPvE fantasy extraction RPG, there’s a new trailer showing off some of what we can expect before the first public tests open next week.

Elodie Games was founded by devs previously at Riot Games, Blizzard, and Ubisoft. Seekers of Skyveil is inspired by games like Escape from Tarkov, Diablo, and League of Legends. In the reveal trailer showing off the game, there’s definitely some LoL-esque flavor there.

In the game, teams of three Seekers join up to adventure through the world, hunt loot and extract priceless treasures from the world on their journey. Seekers are the playable classes, and in the Closed Alpha test, there will be six to choose from, each with their own mechanics and abilities to cater to different playstyles. The official announcement introduced four of them: the warrior Zuraya, mage Lily, Kumu, the defender/tank, and Joon, who fires his bullets to slay enemies. The team promises more reveals soon, and with alpha starting next week, and the new characters possibly in the reveal screenshots on the game's website, we expect more info really soon.

The team emphasizes player choices make a difference, and everything from the route to decide to take, the fights you decide to take on, enemies you challenge, to what gear you use, will have an impact. They emphasize that every decision has consequences, and these can be positive or negative, and a lot is likely to depend on teamwork to get out of any scrapes.

Closed alpha tests will begin in one week, on October 20th, and Elodie is currently accepting signups. They’ll also give some away via their official Discord.
