Harry Holland, the younger brother of MCU’s Spider-Man Tom Holland, made a cameo appearance in. And Ryan Reynolds, the film’s co-writer, co-producer, and star, found out about it only recently. Harry Holland portrays a Deadpool variant and is one of the many celebrities who made cameo appearances in the film.
Ryan Reynolds apparently had no idea that Harry Holland was part of the Deadpool & Wolverine cast while the movie was in production. He learned about it after the film’s stunt coordinator, George Cottle, took to Instagram to acknowledge Harry Holland’s involvement in the project in July 2024.
Cottle shared a photo of Holland in a Deadpool suit on his Instagram story and wrote:
“When [Shawn Levy] and [Ryan Reynolds] set the bar so f’ing high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star!!! It may not [be] the Holland the [world] wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!!! [Harry Holland] you smashed it my friend!” (via Deadline)
Reynolds subsequently shared Cottle’s story on his Instagram handle. He exclaimed, “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?”
Harry Holland also shared Cottle’s story and wrote, “Lots of cameos in Deadpool.”
Previously, Harry Holland played the role of Shaker Kid in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although his scenes were left on the cutting room floor and weren’t included in the theatrical version, they were part of the Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version, an extended cut that came out globally in 2022. He was also part of the additional crew of the 2019 film Spider-Man: Far from Home. Additionally, he has directed a number of short films, including Last Call (2022), in which Tom Holland essays the role of Charlie.
Deadpool & Wolverine introduces the two eponymous characters in the MCU. It debuted in U.S. theaters on July 26, 2024, and secured the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time for an R-rated movie, both domestically, and worldwide.
