It’s always nice to have a long weekend at the end of August, and after the long trip back from Gamescom, it’s very much needed… but there’s little rest for the wicked, so brace yourselves for a flurry of previews, interviews and features from things that Dom and I managed to see at the show.
Naturally Gamescom spawned a metric ton of news, so let’s dive right in for the biggest announcements, with trailers down the page.
Just the one review this week, as Miguel got behind the bar:
Tavern Talk – PC, NSW – 7/10
For Gamescom, I got to take in some more of MachineGames’ mixed first person take on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, before sharing my hands on impression for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and speaking to Warhorse figurehead Tobi.
Dom, meanwhile, rampaged through the countryside with the newly announced Drive Rally, which rally fans should definitely check out.
I also previewed the demo of Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, and the non-VR version of C-Smash VRS: New Dimension. And with Black Myth: Wukong on many people’s playlists, Aran revisited Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and a previous telling of this story.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Star Wars Outlaws, Concord & everything we saw at Gamescom!
Dying Light: The Beast brings back a fan favourite character
Dune: Awakening gets a new trailer at Gamescom
Ack ack ack. Ack ack ack ack ack! ACK!
Monster Hunter Wilds gets an electric new gameplay trailer
Let’s check in on what you’ve been playing in the community:
That’s the round up for this week. Keep your eyes peeled for everything we’ll be churning out over the next few days and weeks!
