A newly-released render of Krauser in Resident Evil 4 remake contains a nice little nod to the character's appearance in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.
Despite some fear from fans that Krauser had been cut from the game altogether, a new trailer for Resident Evil 4 remake shown at Sony's first State of Play shows that the villain is back in full force, knife fight and all. The new trailer showed quite a bit of Krauser footage, but a new render released by Capcom shows a small detail that diehard fans are sure to love.

The render itself was shared by Resident Evil insider AestheticGamer, who has previously reported on the remake using concepts and enemies that were cut from the original version of the game. In their tweet sharing the render, AestheticGamer points out that you can clearly see a scar on Krauser's arm that is a reference to Darkside Chronicles' Operation Javier.
For those who don't know, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is an on-rails shooter that was released for the Wii back in 2009 and acts as a prequel to Resident Evil 4, taking place two years before the events of that game. One of the scenarios in the game, Operation Javier, shows Leon and Krauser working together before the events of Resident Evil 4, and has them going up against Javier Hidalgo, hence the operation's name.
Towards the end of the game, Krauser's left arm is impaled by a BOW, giving him some unique shape-shifting abilities but also leaving him with a noticeable scar on the top of his arm, which is clearly visible on his Resident Evil 4 remake model. It's a nice little touch that nods to one of Resi's lesser-known games.
