We just got a look at the all-new Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and uh, he's certainly looking different. For some reason, he seems to have aged about 80 years since the original game, and has even ditched his funny little hat. But above all else, many also think that he bears an uncanny resemblance to another villain: former UK prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
Seriously, once you see it, you can't unsee it. For some reason, Salazar has gone from looking like a weird little goblin child to one of the most disliked UK politicians of all time. We have no idea if Capcom did this on purpose, but the results cannot be denied: Resident Evil 4 will pit us against Thatcher.

Looking at the new Salazar closely, there has to be someone on the dev team that really hated Thatcher, because the resemblance is uncanny. He might retain his short stature, but that's not enough to hide the Thatcher from his face.
If this is on purpose, it's a very fitting inspiration. Not just because Thatcher is the absolute fucking worst, but because having her face on such a tiny body makes for the perfect mix of macabre and goofiness than sums Resident Evil 4 up best.
However, some fans actually think Salazar is inspired by another figure entirely: Queen Elizabeth II. Given, uh, recent events, the chances of this actually being the inspiration for Salazar's new look are slim at best. But honestly? I see it.
