Imagendary Studios has reportedly been "deeply restructured".
That's according to artist David Luong, who posted on LinkedIn – as spotted by GI.biz – that he was looking for work after being laid off from the developer. They say that only a "skeleton crew" remains at the studio to "thing some things up".
"But now our amazing team is part of the growing tech/vfx/gaming industry's zeitgeist; funds being pulled in a recessive industry, uncertainty in the economy, strikes in Hollywood, AI...these all add fuel to the flames," Luong wrote.
"I hope we can all rise from the ashes and become a greater voice in the creative industry sooner than later."
Imagendary was founded in 2020 and acquired by FunPlus in April of the following year. The company's plan was to "to bring AAA cross-platform experiences to gamers worldwide" though they never announced a project they were working on.
