New World: Rise of the Angry Earth , is coming on October 3rd. The new expansion was announced today, along with details on the new story, new features (mounts!) pricing, and more details for Season 3.
The expansion explains just what has happened to the area previously known as First Light, which the Amazon team announced would close, and then made that a reality, promising more info to come on the mysterious growth beyond the barrier that had risen. Now we know. The area is the new zone, now The Elysian Wilds, and it is now suffering under the fury of Artemis and the Angry Earth.
This is also the subject of the next story arc in New World . First Light has fallen and the people and villages are gone. The strong earthly power in the area has also awakened the Beast Lords. Sure, they’re formidable enemies, but with them lies the secret to taming and riding animals.
That’s right, the expansion finally introduces mounts to the game, after years of feedback. (We got a hands-on preview of the feature this month.) You will be able to summon a mount, with options initially including horses, direwolves, and lions. Be able to name them and customize their gear. The new Riding Trade Skill will open up the possibility of new bonuses.
In Rise of the Angry Earth, the level cap will rise to 65, there's a new gear rarity, Artifacts, a brand new weapon, and a brand new endgame Expedition. That Expedition,The Savage Divide will have you tracking down those Beast Lords. there’s even a new Heartrune ability: Primal Fury.
