Select PlayStation 5 console bundles have been reduced by $50 in the United States.
Sony has cut the price of the Modern Warfare 2 PS5 bundle from $539.99 to $489.99, with the offer available online at PlayStation Direct until September 30.
The same bundle is available at retailers including Best Buy and Walmart, with the latter offering it for $489.
The PS5 Final Fantasy 16 bundle is also $50 off. It’s available for $509 at Walmart and $509.99 at Best Buy.
A Horizon Forbidden West bundle has also been discounted by $50 to $499.99 at retailers including Best Buy, although it’s currently sold out.
All of the above may be available at GameStop, which is currently “offering $50 on select PS5s when you shop in-store – now through 9.29.23”.
PS5 discounts in the US have been less aggressive than in Europe, where Sony has recently run two price promotions in as many months, including cutting the cost of the standard model by £75 / €100.
Sony increased PlayStation Plus subscription prices by up to 35% last week.
The move saw the cost of 12-month subscription plans for the service’s Essential, Extra and Premium tiers rise by $20-$40 / £10-£20 / €12-€32 depending on the chosen membership plan.
Some of the games set to be added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue this month were revealed today by a reliable leaker.
