Assassin's Creed: Mirage could be closer than we all might think, imminent even, according to an alleged GameStop employee posting on the /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. The post shows grainy images of the title appearing within the company's internal system, which might sound flimsy alone, but does align with previous reporting.
Rumour was that the title (which purports a return to classic AC gameplay) was targeting an August 2023 release date, and Insider Gaming goes one further, alleging that we will see gameplay for the stealth action title at this year's Ubisoft Forward event on 12th June.
Obviously, we will learn more in the weeks to come, but how does that timeline strike you? Depending on the precise date in August, that could put Mirage into Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon territory, which drops on the 25th, although whether that matters is debatable. I'm so curious to see how Mirage looks in action. Really looking forward to that Ubisoft Forward next month!
Hopefully it isn't an RPG with crappy loot mechanics. Just make a traditional Assassin's Creed game. That is all anyone is asking for.
