One fan decided to merge their love for the with their wildlife photography to make some fake cards that fans wish were real. One of the draws of the for collectors is the beautiful artwork that's featured on each card. Each pack even features rarer, alternate art and full illustration cards of the same card, with the only difference being the drawing depicted on it.
fan and wildlife photographer Opposite-Mood-7045 shared some mockups on Reddit of wildlife cards using photographs that they took themselves. There are nine cards in total, most of which depict different types of birds, but a beaver and a frog also make it into the mix. The photographer even created two full-art cards, which would likely be players' chase cards if these cards were real.
Each custom card designed by Opposite-Mood-7045 includes a photo of a real bird or animal in a realistic card design. The cards show a kingfisher, pond frog, cormorant, beaver, grey heron, and a Eurasian coot. The photographs depicted on all the cards are incredible and very fitting for the card game, with a mix of action shots and more relaxed setting-centric images.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is an exciting new way to play, and one that comes close to recreating the experience of collecting Pokémon cards in the 90s.
A Canada goose gosling also appears on a card, with an adorably named Fluffy Peep attack, which evolves into an adult goose with the far more ferocious-sounding attacks of Protective Formation and Powerful Honk. The photographer even includes two versions of the kingfisher card that have the same attacks and stats, but one is a full-art illustration alternative.
