Pocketpair has released its first major content update for Palworld, adding the early access title’s first raid boss, Bellanoir. Using slabs at the Summoning Altar, players can battle her. While raid bosses can’t be captured, they do drop Pal Eggs. There’s also an Extreme version of Bellanoir that is “incredibly powerful and difficult to defeat.”
Other significant changes include Training Manuals, which grant experience points to Pals; Ancient Technical Manuals granting Ancient Technology Points (found in random chests); Recovery Meds for slow HP recovery over time; and Homeward Thundercloud, which instantly teleports the player to their nearest base. You can also use three fruits – Power, Life and Stout – to boost a Pal’s stats.
A new passive “Mercy Hit” now makes it so that Pals can’t reduce an enemy’s health below 1 HP, making them easier to capture. There’s also a new building, Ore Mining Site, which lets you mine ores at your base rather than seeking out mining sites or establishing a second base. Check out some of the patch notes below and full details here.
Palworld is available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via early access. It’s been a massive surprise hit, with over 15 million copies sold on Steam and 10 million players on Xbox. Check out our review here.
