Blizzard has revealed that over one million players have reached Level 20 in the Diablo IV Early Access Beta test. The official Diablo account and Global Community Development Director Adam «PezRadar» Fletcher have provided separate Twitter statements regarding the number of players hitting Level 20 during last weekend's Beta test: This particular metric shared by Blizzard marks an impressive beginning of Diablo IV's public lifetime.
Only players who pre-ordered the game or received Beta keys through third parties like KFC or r/diablo4's Discord channel were able to participate in last weekend's Early Access Beta test. It is also very likely that a large number of players might not have had the time to level all the way to 20 or participate in the playtest at all.
Under these circumstances, the fact that over one million players reached Level 20 not only means that a lot of Diablo fans love puppies — it also appears that the launch of Diablo IV might become by far the biggest launch in franchise history.
