The first pictures of an AMD A620 motherboard featuring in the AM5 family for entry-level Ryzen 7000 PCs have been leaked by Videocardz.
The AMD A620 motherboard pictured is the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2 which is a very low-cost design with bare minimum I/O capabilities. The motherboard features the AM5 socket and is powered by a single 8-pin connector that provides juice to the 6-Phase VRM delivery which will utilize 50 MOSFETs.
The ASRock A620 motherboard comes with just two DDR5 DIMM slots which means up to 64 & 96 GB memory capacities (32 GB / 48 GB modules). For expansion, the motherboard has a single PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 slot and two PCIe Gen 4.0 x1 slots. There's also a single Hyper M.2 slot that is Gen 4.0 x4 rater for NVMe M.2 SSDs. A single M.2 WIFI slot is also available but you will have to buy the WIFI module separately as the board doesn't come with one. There's also another NVMe M.2 slot but it isn't spec'd as Hyper M.2 which means that it could be Gen 3.0 x4 compliant.
Previous leaks have shown that the AMD A620 motherboard for the AM5 platform will feature 28 Gen 4 lanes, 8 Gen 3 lanes, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and 6 USB 2.0 ports. There will be no overclock support for the CPU but memory overclocking will be available and these boards will support the EXPO profiles though to what extent remains to be seen. The upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is going to make perfect sense with these boards as it isn't necessarily designed with overclocking in mind but given its 120W TDP, it makes a perfect choice when paired with a $100 US board like this and provides insane gaming value.
For I/O, the ASRock A620 AM5 motherboard gets an HDMI and DP output plus a single USB Type-C and four Type-A connectors. There's a single Ethernet LAN
