Reviews of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, the much-awaited 3D V-Cache chip, have landed and show insane efficiency in gaming performance.
Tech outlets have released their reviews of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D which is the chip that most gamers have been looking forward to the most as it offers the best value at just $449 US while the gaming performance was said to be faster than the 13900K. Now the final verdict is out and Intel's Raptor Lake flagship is clearly outclassed at a much lower price and much lower power draw too.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is going to be the true successor to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D which has been a hot gaming chip ever since it launched in retail. This CPU is going to be the ideal choice for gamers with 8 cores, 16 threads, and the same 104 MB of cache (32 MB CCD, 64 MB V-Cache + 8 MB L2). The CPU comes with a base clock of around 4 GHz which could end up at least 500 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz which is 400 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X.
In their review, TechpowerUp shows the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D sitting ahead of all other 3D V-cache CPUs and Intel's flagship Core i9-13900K across all resolutions (1080p/1440p/2160p) on average. The CPU also delivers the fastest minimum FPS across an average of several AAA titles however we have to get to the power numbers because those are simply brutal against Intel's i9-13900K.

While the Intel Core i9-13900K is said to average out around 170W in games, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D delivers better performance at just 50W at stock. But that's not all, with specific tune configurations on certain AM5 motherboards, you can even get much better performance
