The Star Wars TV series Ahsoka has reportedly added a new cast member. Deadline reports that Wes Chatham, whose credits include The Expanse, Hunger Games, and Tenet, will play a major character in the upcoming sci-fi show.
The report said Chatham will play the right-hand man to the villain Admiral Thrawn, who is played by Lars Mikkelsen.
Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano. The show is written by Star Wars veteran Dave Filoni, with The Mandalorian's Jon Favreau serving as executive producer.
The Ahsoka TV series also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo portraying Sabine Wren. The TV show will debut this August on Disney Plus.
Beyond the Ahsoka solo series, a number of other big announcements were made at Star Wars Celebration. Daisy Ridley will return to the series in a new Star Wars film that is set 15 years after the Rise of Skywalker and follows her efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order. Lucasfilm also announced films from Filoni and James Mangold.
Beyond that, Andor season 2 is aiming for an August 2024 debut, and Star Wars: The Acolyte, a Disney Plus series during the final days of the High Republic era, has been described as «Frozen meets Kill Bill.»
