Fans of survival horror games have been treated to some pretty excellent experiences this year with the remakes of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4, and another beloved franchise in the genre is due to see its next major release soon. Amnesia: The Bunker has been turning heads with each new showing and new detail since its announcement, but developer Frictional Games has announced that the wait for it is going to be just a tad bit longer than previously expected.
Taking to Twitter, the studio announced that the survival horror title has been delayed by another week, and is now due out on May 23. “We’re pushing the release of Amnesia: The Bunker back by one week, and it will now be coming out on May 23rd instead,” Frictional Games wrote. “This will give us a little more time to polish the game and make sure everything is perfect before launch.”
This isn’t the first time the survival horror game has been delayed. It was originally set to launch in March, before being delayed to May 16.
When it launches, Amnesia: The Bunker will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will offer a semi-open world structure, a focus on replayability and open-ended gameplay, and some classic light and dark Amnesia mechanics, all in a campaign that will take 4-6 hours to finish.
