Previously on Amnesia: The Bunker, the game was slated to release on May 16th (about a month from now) after being delayed from its original release window of March. The game follows Henri Clement, a soldier left behind and trapped within a military bunker. While there, he has to outrun the monster that lurks within the halls, lurking for its next prey.
The game is an open-world sandbox hybrid that takes place in World War I, and provides the player with a gun for the first time in the franchise, although it comes with only a single bullet. Player choice is meant to be a pivotal aspect of the title, and the game’s general outcome and events will be ultimately up to the player.
The game also has one aspect that will mostly stay the same, being the bunker. It’s the player’s safe haven, in some aspects. You can save while you’re there, but the generator inside the bunker must stay on, lest you leave yourself exposed to various threats as you explore. Today, though, the game’s going to see another delay. Frictional Games, the developer, wound up revealing that the title will be moved to May 23rd, 2023. In addition, they offered a message online, saying:
Hey Everyone, We’re pushing the release of Amnesia: The Bunker back by one week, and it will now be coming out on May 23 instead.
This will give us a little more time to polish the game and make sure everything is perfect before launch. We appreciate your patience and hope you are looking forward to playing Amnesia: The Bunker. It will be worth the wait!
