The first trailer for the movie based on Sony’s Gran Turismo franchise has been released and it is packed full of racing action, along with quite a lot of David Harbour being very sarcastic about video games. Check it out!
Directed by Neill Blomkamp (best known for his sci-fi action film District 9), and with a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, the Gran Turismo movie takes inspiration from the GT Academy programme that sought to take the fastest Gran Turismo players and try to transfer their skills in the digital realm to the real world of motorsports.

After winning the competition, Mardenborough was signed to Nissan’s racing programme, competing in GT4 and GT3 categories, taking part in three runnings of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Super GT series in Japan, and more.
There’s a rather unusual cast surrounding this story, which includes Geri Halliwell-Horner (AKA Ginger Spice), Djimon Hounsou, Daniel Puig, Josha Stradowski and Thomas Kretschmann, with Hounsou playing Ginger’s husband. There’s also Stranger Things star David Harbour and Orlando Bloom. As you can see David Harbour is taking the roll of the video game sceptic and takes every opportunity to belittle the upcoming racers.
