Cyberpunk 2077 may not have been the critical darling CD Projekt RED would have been hoping it would, but the open world action RPG continues to sell well even now, and the developer will be hoping that those sales are amplified with the launch of its upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, which is due out sometime this year.
We haven’t seen or heard much of Phantom Liberty since it was confirmed that it’ll be starring Idris Elba with a trailer in December last year, but as the developer has said previously, more details will be coming in June. In fact, CD Projekt has confirmed that the game will be present at Summer Game Fest.
In particular, the developer says it’ll be bringing the game to Summer Game Fest Play Days, which means media will get to go hands-on with the expansion behind-closed-doors. Whether or not it will also take the stage at the live show remains to be seen, but either way, we’ll be learning plenty more about Phantom Liberty soon.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is due out sometime in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
