Playing Through Diablo 4's Campaign Will Progress Season Battle Pass
Earlier last week, Rod Fergusson stated that only seasonal characters could progress through Diablo 4's Battle Pass. However, Diablo's General Manager also confirmed that players going through the campaign during a season would earn favor for the Battle Pass.
Ever since Diablo 3, players could go on a so-called Season Journey to earn a plethora of rewards. Diablo 4 will also include a Season Journey for each particular season and progress the Battle Pass by earning Favor.
Fergusson mentions simple kill achievements which will count towards Battle Pass progression — but we have also seen other overworld objectives which reward Favor, like collecting plants or completing dungeons, so tasks that you will absolutely complete during Diablo 4's campaign: It is important to note that completing the campaign itself or even just parts of it will not progress the Season Journey or the Battle Pass. Looking at the current state of information regarding Seasons, doing all overworld content in some way or another will be the way to get the most out of both the Season Journey and the Battle Pass!
