Rumor: Starfield Will Be In An AMD CPU Bundle

A new report has come up that suggests that Starfield will be bundled alongside some AMD CPUs.

As reported by Tech4Gamers, a Newegg listing came up with the heading AMD STARFIELD GAME BUNDLE PROMOTION STORE. The Newegg listing includes all the current Ryzen 7000 line of CPUs.

Our source noted that that line included the newest processors that featured the 3D V-Cache Technology. But it should also be noted that the Ryzen 7000 line also includes the Z1 and Z1 CPUs found in gaming devices like the ASUS ROG Ally. It may not really be relevant for Starfield in particular.

As we know, Bethesda revealed that AMD had been named as the official partner for Starfield. This did somewhat make sense, because AMD also makes the processors for the Xbox Series X|S.

Presumably, AMD had helped Bethesda when it comes to programming and optimization, so that they could make Starfield as efficiently as they could, and also make the game run efficiently on a performance level. While some gamers already expect compromises with Starfield’s performance on consoles, Bethesda may have gotten the guidance, alongside with help from Xbox people, to make Starfield as solid a performer as is possible with their games across Xbox Series consoles and PC.

Could this mean a solid 60 FPS performance on AMD Ryzen 7000 based computers? Neither Bethesda, Microsoft, or AMD have confirmed this promotion for now. What we do know is that when a deal gets signed for a game to be part of a CPU or GPU bundle, the expectation is set that those games will play at an optimal level with that given computer part.
