Gameloft has revealed a new feature they are adding to Disney Dreamlight Valley, that we think many fans have been waiting on since they started playing.
DreamSnaps, as you can pretty much imagine, is a new feature to let you take photos. As reported by Comic Book, this feature is coming ahead of the next major update, Update 6.
But it’s best to let Gameloft explain the feature themselves on their official Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitter account:
“The DreamSnaps Update in coming soon and with it, a brand new way to flex your creativity and earn exciting rewards!
This new method of bringing content to the game specifically focuses on a new feature that will continue to receive updates and evolve over the coming months.
Think of it as a smaller-scale treat to tide you over between major content updates.
We think DreamSnaps will make your time in the Valley even more rewarding and can’t wait to hear what you think!
Your feedback will be hugely important as we refine DreamSnaps over the coming updates, so stay tuned for more!”
Of course, a photo mode is a major addition to a game like Disney Dreamlight Valley. Taking photos in-game is so popular that game consoles have them as a feature, even for games that don’t have them natively.
But the way Gameloft describes this photo mode suggests that their implementation of it isn’t as fully featured as we have come to expect.
In particular, Gameloft states that they are looking for user feedback to ‘refine’ DreamSnaps. That suggests that they have just got the feature working as is, and extra accoutrements like filters and clipping tools, are up for consideration, if the game’s users themselves ask for it.
