Wayfinder Delays Early Access to Summer 2023, Closed Beta To Kick Off May 10th
Wayfinder has delayed its Early Access launch from May to a more nebulous Summer 2023, Airship Syndicate announced this morning. Instead, a global closed beta will now launch on May 10th in its place.
Revealed late last year during The Game Awards, Wayfinder is being developed by Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes and is an interesting blend of MMO and action-adventure gameplay. The upcoming character-based MMORPG-lite as we've called it was originally slated to hit Early Access on PC and PlayStation on May 10th, however based on feedback and a need to add more polish, the team is delaying it to Summer 2023.

«We have been working hard preparing for the next Closed Beta and Early Access. Originally, we had announced that the Global Closed Beta would be this month and Early Access would be coming in May. With all the excellent feedback we have received from you, the community, we decided we need more time to polish the game and add new community requested features to give you the best experience possible for our biggest Beta yet.»
As such, instead of launching Early Access on May 10th, we'll be seeing a Closed Beta launch globally that day instead.
Additionally, the Wayfinder's team clarified why they are not selling Founder's Packs as of yet, citing Steam's policies on selling them. However, there will be Founder's Packs during the lifetime of Early Access, though the details of exactly what will be in each pack has yet to be revealed.
