A Genshin Impact fan has pointed out an interesting detail about Mondstadt that probably went unnoticed by most players. Mondstadt was introduced as the game's first region back in September 2020. The start of each playthrough in the game requires players to travel from the coast beneath Stormbearer Point, to the City of Freedom where they meet several notable characters that are now part of the playable roster.
Mondstadt also hosted Genshin Impact's Prologue Archon Chapter that revolved around the Anemo Archon Venti and his old friend Stormterror. Despite being the oldest region in the game, Mondstadt remains the fan-favorite location for many Genshin Impact players.

Genshin Impact keeps expanding with almost every other update that arrives. Every region in the game has a couple of secret ruins that usually become part of an exciting quest line. Some of the hidden ruins can be found underwater, and they are typically marked with a darker color on the map. A new post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit points out an interesting detail about Mondstadt that might hint at future expansions. A fan-made theory posted by Reddit user dropnation40 hints that Mondstadt could have a hidden dungeon-like region under its main city. A lot of players seem to agree as many comments claim that there is no real reason why the area on the map above the City of Freedom should be darker than the rest of Cider Lake.
Previous Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that a big part of Mondstadt is yet to be revealed in future updates. One of Venti's lines confirmed that Mondstadt has a port that is currently not shown on the map. It's rumored to be far away from the City
